Although I fear that many of today's young folks are indeed clueless, there are certain similarities to the Puritan headgear and Arab headgear.  I can see a clueless person mistaking the buckle and hatband on the man's hat for an egal.  Likewise, the colf could be mistaken for a hijab -- if one were clueless.

Last night they fired the big boss. This could have a considerable impact on our operation - at least in the short run.
