...The Ranch's answer to you -know - what - with no rules.

Go ahead...tell us what you're having for dinner - we can't wait! Got a cute pic of kitty peeking out of a paper bag? Post it! We live for that stuff!

Math addict? How about a refresher on the Pythagorean Theorem?

Like macaroni and cheese? Tell us why!

So even if you're not a writer or a poet (yet), there's still plenty of fun things to do at the Armadillo!

Oh baby, oh baby!

Me too...I was more of a Flash Gordon guy.

Carol...Commander Cody and The Lost Planet Airmen?

No, I'm talking about the film serial Commando Cody,

although Commander Cody ...'s name was inspired by Commando Cody.

My kindergarten granddaughter is taking a field trip to the local library - you know, where they house real physical books you manually open and close. She's pretty excited about it, though she's always on her iPad with its many games and videos. She told her teacher her" grandma with the glasses" - that's me - has lots of books but her other grandma doesn't know how to read. I had to laugh. I've had lunch with the lady, and she reads a menu sure 'nuff. Funny thought.

…and be taking  opportunity to be offering  special birthday weeshes  to the Deevine Ms M…and many, many more.

Your comrade,

Meester Beeg

Cheers!

Doing anything special?

No…notting special…just sitting around with girlchik,  making borscht and sipping wodka…watching beeg storm come...laundry...

Boris, that you? Is it your birthday too? (Sour cream in the borscht? Powder or liquid detergent in the machine?) Heckuva way to be spending your birthday, cooking and cleaning.

"and I make my bed

where I lay my head

and I wish I heard what she just said"

Lyle Lovett,,,Been to Memphis

To Boris and the Grandma with the glasses: thank you!

I had a really special birthday because my brother and his wife surprised me by flying in from Houston to celebrate with me. My husband and brother had spent the past couple of months planning this, and it all went off without a hitch -- I was really, really (really!) surprised and pleased. Do they still use the word "flabbergasted"??

A big plus is my bro and his wonderful wife finally got to meet my husband. They all got along famously. Yay!

Yay! indeed!

A belated happy birthday, Miss M.

Ok, so the gummint shut down, the crazy lady car-crashed the White House, but is the Ranch now defunct as well? Tell me nooooo -- ooooo! Where is everybody, anyway?

As a side note, I am planning a trip to scenic (NOT) Houston, TX, to visit my soon-to-be 97-year-old mother. Who won't appreciate it! Any suggestions on what to do with someone who can't see very well, can't walk very well, and really isn't very nice?

Cheers!

-M

Walk softly, smile a lot and carry a big bottle of wine.
