had wooden teeth.

Wow.  I knew President Washington had false teeth, and that the common myth is that they were made of wood, but I didn't know that about President Lincoln.  Thanks for the scholarship.

Washington's false teeth were definitely NOT made of wood. They were, however, ill-fitting, and that's why he never smiled on pictures.  He had a very hard time eating with them. I know nothing of LIncoln having false teeth.

Lincoln had a fake beard.

What Karen said ...

Did George Washington have wooden teeth?

He had false teeth, but they were not made of wood. As a matter of fact, the materials used in his false teeth were probably more uncomfortable than wood. In one set of teeth, his dentist, Dr. John Greenwood, used a cow’s tooth, one of Washington’s teeth, hippopotamus ivory, metal and springs. They fit poorly and distorted the shape of his mouth.

Walmart has a movie of Lincoln that over 8 hour long for 5 dollars . I saw it in the bin this morning ..

Actually Lifesigh's Benjamin Franklin.

Yes I read he was a real hit with the ladies in France and a charmer back in the US. I would like to get his take on history during his lifetime, he was a real diplomat. I would also like to know if he likes his photo on hundred dollar bills.

My choice is also deceased and would be Loren C. Eiseley, Anthropologist and writer. The Night Country is my favorite among his books.

If we are talking about those who are no longer among us.....then I'd like to add Golda Meier, and Margaret Thatcher.

new picture..lookin good
