TBD on Ning

Rapa asked me to help think of a Wednesday Game so this is what I thought would be interesting.

Alphabetically post an author you have read with one of the books you have enjoyed by that author.

If you memory needs jogging (like mine did) here is a link to fantastic fiction where you can browse authors alphabetically and it's fun to see which are the most popular authors and how many books each one has written.

http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/

It's fun to browse the lists.

I'll start with A...

Albom, Mitch... author of the popular Tuesdays with Morrie.

Who'll try B ?

DeMille, Nelson...  author of lots of mystery/thrillers including Plum Island & The General's Daughter... both made into movies

ERDRICH, LOUISE.....author of THE MASTER BUTCHERS SINGING CLUB (2003).  This was an excellent read circa post WWI when a German emigrates to America with a suitcase full of sausages and his butcher knives.

FORD, JAMIE....author of The Hotel at the Corner of Bitter and Sweet.  He has a new book coming out in September called Songs of Willow Frost.

Gardner, Lisa...author of "Gone" and a host of popular crime novels over the years that have added to my reading pleasure.

Hiaasen, Carl.....Loved Skinny Dip, Sick Puppy and his others. Waiting now for his latest, Bad Monkey.

IRVING, John.......author of the unforgettable "THE CIDER HOUSE RULES".

JOHNSTONE, WILLIAM W....author of the Mountain Man series. Not my cup of tea, but my late husband devoured these books

thanks Ursula... going to the library after lunch to pick up the first 3 in the Mountain Man series... know DH will love them... I might enjoy them too :)

Kesey, Ken...author of "One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest"

LIPPMAN, LAURA,  author of .....AND WHEN SHE WAS GOOD ( 2012).  Story line involves a Baltimore prostitute and her pimp.  Found it a good read!

MORTON, KATE....author of House at Riverton, The Forgotten Garden, and The Secret Keeper, plus one more that I can't think of right now.  Young author, extremely talented.

Perri O'Shaughessy  - Unfit to Practice and others.  Got this book by mistake and reading it now - so far very interesting read.  All her books about law.  Any one else read any of her books?
