THE ASTRONAUT WIVES CLUB by Lily Koppel was released June 11th.  Via much research, Koppel has done an impressive job of describing the thankless role these women played in the husbands' historic adventures. I'm 9th on the reserve list.  Here, read some of the reviews of this book:

Hope you have it physically in your TBR stack as it had a great write-up in today's Dallas Morning News and there's a book signing in Dallas this week.

Yup, the CBS Sunday Morning piece was interesting. I remember those times & how we worshiped those early astronauts. I was a military wife for 20 yrs. - don't think I could have handled the pressure put on those astronaut wives. Gonna have to watch for the book.
