I don't understand that either, Luvy.  And I don't understand an ins. co telling someone that they won't cover them becuz their cancer is too rare (happened to someone in my area, and then when his widow went to apply for some state aid so she wouldn't have to move in with her daughter becuz she couldn't afford the rent to her tiny little apt., having to pay the hospital big bucks every month to pay 'em back), the welfare office told her "you can't apply for any sorta aid becuz you owned a house in the last 4 yrs."  She says, "But the bank foreclosed on our house becuz we could no longer make the payments due to all the medical bills; it's not like we sold it or anything!"  They said too bad; doesn't matter why you no longer have the house; come back & see us in 4 yrs. Just don't understand...

as in i don't understand how a country can turn over it's entire health care to for-profit business corporations in spite of their track records and yet have people say they don't trust the govt to be involved.....(big f'ing facepalm on this one....)
