I'm trying my hand at more ethnic cooking.  Tomorrow's dinner is Chicken Vindaloo.

Followed by gnu stew?

Well, I have an Indian daughter-in-law, and she has introduced me to Indian food.  I find I like a whole lot of it.

eat this

My father liked to eat those.

my ma used to feed us them all the time,i haven't had any in many years, but they're better eatin' than they are lookin'.

My grandfather did, too.  Pickled.

we had them, they were in some kinda jello stuff.

I don't remember any of us ever eating them, but my Dad did.  I was pretty little.

My grandmother was very active in church and community affairs, and she was supposed to host a Ladies' Aid Society luncheon at the farm on a Saturday afternoon, but she took ill at the last moment.  She had already prebaked crème puff shells, and had fresh whipped cream to go in them.  So my dad and my grandfather saved the day and assembled the crème puffs for her.  But they had to come up with something to feed the ladies first......so Grandpa pulled out the pickled pigs' feet!  For years I have thought of how those ladies reacted when they found out their menu was pickled pigs' feet and crème puffs!  My dad said they liked it......my grandmother said she hid from the public for weeks.  :-)

did you ever eat them Karin?,they really are pretty good, not great, but pretty good.

No.....I don't think I care to, either.  I'll take your word for it.
