Dromornithids were part of the Australian megafauna. One species, Dromornis stirtoni, was 9.8 ft tall. The massive, crushing beaks of some species suggest that at least some members of the family were a combination of carnivorous predators and scavengers.

I'd hate to meet up with one of those. lol

I expected to see a pic of some guy sitting down to a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken.
