Well folks, here is my definition of what is `HOT' these days...
"Who is he ?" I can hear you ask;
sorry, but for the time being I'm a keepin' him all to myself !
(I may let you know a little later:>)
So, anyone out there want to `share' who they think is `HOT' or `NOT' ?
Both males and females included, and meanwhile,
I'll go back to my gazing and sighing...

Karin, I share your opinion and ideas of what constitutes `sexiness',
it would be very interesting to find some research on this
subject matter, for both males and females alike,
and even though it seems we cannot `manufacture'
that state of being, we may heighten our awareness
of what makes a person sexy and hopefully learn from it.
I agree Karin. My sister hates Johnny Depp but thinks Willie Nelson is sexy...whuuuuut?! I like men who are smooth...like in their movements, their speach, their actions. Men like Johnny Depp, Robert Redford, Cary Grant...all have that quiet smoothness that even if they were not so handsome they would still be sexy as hell. It's an attitude and a confidence. They don't have anything to prove. They are who they are. Looks are superficial but you can't fake the moves.
Thanks for keepin' the fires burning here folks,
I haven't abandoned you, I've just decided to `act'
and actually `do' something towards getting a life,
now that my second cataract op is over and done with.
The exciting is - that last Saturday night when I went to
a local social dance, I met people that also go to local lessons
through the week, and they focus mainly on Latin dancing,
which is right up my alley, since the Quick-Step and Waltz's
would see me get dizzy and fall over,
doing the Latin dances means you more or less
stay in the one area of the floor......lol!
Anyway, I am excited and very happy to be
returning to music and movement with other
human beings, how long it lasts, only time will tell!
I am finding it difficult to spend a lot of time on my
computer, since I am also creating a `sea-shell' theme
throughout my little unit here and that is swallowing up
my time as well, so it would be great if those who are
inclined, would like to think up more HOT stuff that
would be engaging and interesting to our discussions here.
Now we all know that good timing, breathing and movement
are conducive to great.....umm.....dancing - of course !!
Your a precious gem Karin, thanks for that,
I am due to leave for the dancing lessons in just over an hour's time now,
and I'm getting a little nervous, it's also starting to spit with rain,
but I am just going to continue having a small dinner and get dressed
in an ordinary skirt and top for the lessons, although.....
while I was up the local shops this arvo, I did.....sneak into
a few clothes shops - and of course, ended up leaving a deposit
on this gorgeous skirt and two matching tops that would be worn
when there is a social night coming up, it's been a very long time
since I lashed out and spent money on things such as these,
but I know I shall feel good in them.
Karin, maybe you might have a local community office
that could have listings of dancing venues around the area
you live in perhaps?
The problem with dancing the tango......there are so few places that afford you the space to move like that. Most dance floors are overcrowded and you'd end up banging into people. It's great for competition....when you're the only ones on the floor.....but very tough to do in a purely recreational manner. It would be fun, though....very sensuous.
Thanks for this one Phil, I watched it all the way through
and every single Tango dance I've watched has been totally different, I swear,
just goes to show how extremely expressive and unique they can be.
Ohh, that looks very interesting indeed, thanks Phil,
and it only adds more fuel to the fire of one of my
long-held ambitions of learning that dance,
goodness only know how it must make one feel
if they are dancing with their lover and both of
them can get out on the floor and express their
emotions for one another this way -
music, the power of the unspoken word,
eye contact conveying deliberate intention -
oh so very..... HOT !!!
Here's a video showing us how the `East Coast Swing' is danced,
this is the one that I was learning this Tuesday night just gone,
of course I am only up to around 6 segments at the moment,
and it is similar timing consisting of a...slow, slow, - kwik..kwik...kwik, lol!
It really is Phil, especially when you get to accomplish
moving through a whole dance without any slip ups,
but it doesn't really matter if you don't,
'coz that's the way we learn.
It reminds me a lot of the swing that I taught my girls when they were young. They still enjoy doing it. Their dad and I would roll up the rug, and move the coffee table and show the girls how it was done. He was a better dancer than this fellow in the video (he seems a tad stiff), but he was self-conscious, and if out in public, needed to be on his third beer before you got him on the floor. After that, it was off to the races.
I went to a bar with my two daughters and one son-in-law a few years ago, and they played some music that was good for this kind of dancing, and my daughters went out on the floor and danced. A big, bad biker dude from the bar came over to my oldest daughter (the one whose hubby wasn't there) and asked her if she would teach him to do that. It was funny as all get-out watching them on the floor, but by the time the night ended.....he was getting pretty darned good!! And she had a blast.
