Is there anyone here who is a Dresden Files addict like I am? Bishop is not a particularly speedy writer so I end up mentally pacing the floor wondering how he will save the Wizard Harry Dresden from his ghosthood. Certainly, the series has it all - mystery, cops, wizardry, ghosts, various vampire courts, knights serving God, and enchanted swords so it can be considered an urban fantasy sword and sorcery.

There was briefly a not too bad TV Series called The Dresden Files (on HULU.com) but I prefer the cover art concept of Harry. Plus the hockey stick just didn't do it for me. I want a real rune inscribed staff, like the book. Maybe the reason it failed on the Sci-Fi channel?

I used to watch the TV show & really enjoyed the concept but have never read the books. Now this is just really great - MORE books on myTBR list!!!! Not sure I should thank you at all for this Serenity!!!

You might want to start with the book of short stories called "Odd Jobs" (I think) as it gives a panorama of what is in store.  I've read them out of sequence, as I can get them, but probably better to read in order as it might be strange to deal with Ghost Harry before the Live Harry.

We can discuss them when you find them!  (rubbing hands with glee!)

Just put it on hold at the library! It's "Side Jobs" - I guess that's the one you meant!

Yup, that's the one.  You'll love it, I'm sure.  :D
