Yup, though it isn't the golf foursome or the pizza and beer brodate....it is progress, of sorts.

The sort of progress that having removed some of the dermis of the ongoing battles over spending and revenues there appear to be time for a sit down to maybe clear the air and move on, or not.

These are difficult times in that we are still months away from the serious stuff of the 2014 campaign and yes, the president is already in situ campaign mode, or at least the Obama campaign apparatus to deliver a Democrat house and keep the senate blue or even bluer.  But there is a wedge of time available to get something done which might serve both parties to make the next pitch to the voters.

So, gun control and immigration might get some face time and actually some legislation before the buzzer sounds and we are in the next fight.  And as to sequestration, what sequestration?  Lunch will still be served on a plate, china not paper...for now....
