Favorite TV shows

Many of us watch TV a lot.  What are some of your favorite TV shows?  Right now my favorite is American Idol.  What shows do you love to watch?

I love the Big Bang , CSI Miami, Bones, the History channel, and Criminal Intent, and PBS Downton Abbey.

OH I hope I get to see it down here Wolfie. I love Maggie Smith. She's such a good actress .

Rizzoli & Isles, Burn Notice, Bones, Elementary, NCIS, Castle  and Grimm

And the only reality type show I watch.....The Deadliest Catch. 

And Dancing with the Stars when it's on.

The Big Bang Theory is my favorite 1/2 hour sitcom -- probably my favorite of all-time. I've seen probably every episode more than once (except the very newest ones!).

Other than that, I like to watch "cable" channels that show science-related shows and some of the more "off the deep end" type shows like Finding Bigfoot or Ancient Aliens.

Also, I love Chopped, Restaurant Impossible, Iron Chef America and Sweet Genius, but I don't admit it very often! LOL

3I love the Big Bang Theory too, watch the old episodes for an hour each night 7 days a week and then the new one on Thrus. Like all the crime shows, Parenthood, Drop Dead Diva and Army wives, I think Lifetime just dropped both of the last two. I just had my cable taken out this week and have the digital converter which gives me 59 channels, so I think I am ok.

I havent really watched TV much since my divorce...4 years ago. My ex was  SO addicted to TV, I think initially, I just enjoyed the quiet...lol. When I realized after a year, I never once turned TV on, I got rid of cable. I tended to prefer TV LAND, Discovery Health, OLD Movies, and Lifetime stuff anyway. RECENTLY, I moved in to take care of an old couple and in mornings when theyrevstill sleeping, I have fallen in love with a few sitcoms I never saw in REAL-TIME. King of Queens, Til Death, and Life According to Jim. BUT..I may have to get a TV GUIDE and watch some of the ones you guys suggested, ESPECIALLY one with MAGGIE SMITH.

I'm waiting for the third seasons of the new Sherlock Holmes to go into production - this one is on PBS.

Iron Chef, American Pickers, Antiques Roadshow are a few other programs that I enjoy watching.

Also, I like to pick up DVD's from the library - my taste is very eclectic! ;-)
