I might be partly to blame. After I posted the article about ZoneAlarm, I read some not-so-nice things about the company that took them over, and decided it was best to take the post down until I could learn more.

Ah hah, it was our leader Pete trying to make me think I am entering the New Year being crazy lol. I got the e-mail notice about a zone alarm post yesterday and could not find it. Pete, have you been in the New Year Eve bottle early LOL?

You are exactly right Kooner. Many actions that are not seen are still perceived as 'activity'. A member joining or an edit by anyone are perfect examples. Even if a lurker stops in and clicks on a link, that is registered as 'activity'.
It is better to rely on email notifications for the announcements of new posts.
