That was very interesting MJL. I really enjoyed it. Now I know bridges I never thought of before and some that I have too... Next time ,even though we only have expressway bridges in my city I will think of them as wonderful meaning ones. After all they are called by numbers like the I-94 and the Kennedy Expressway. They do seem like bridges to me when I travel on them?? Or are they???
To me..a bridge should be something that when you look down from the highest point, you see water.or cars on a road below you or some reasonable distance between you and the pavement. But, alas..that's not the technical definition. I'll give Webster a call and ask him to rethink this word in his dictionary.
Oh Wow! I would be shaking trying to cross that too luvy.
Tapanzee Bridge? I love that bridge with its twists and turns over the Hudson River.A new bridge supposedly will take 5-6 years to build. I don't travel over the TAP too often, but know it well.
OMG !!!!!! That is one high bridge from this photo...Too high for me.
YEP...Sure beats our Tapanzee and Bronx-Queens-Manhattan -Brooklyn-and even Staten Island bridges.
