TBD on Ning

Hi, I'm Sandy and I just joined your group. After viewing this thread, I tried Kindle Nation but they said because I was not in the UK I couldn't use their site. Any other suggestions for free kindle books? I do use Pixels of Ink.

Hi Sandy,  I see you are in Michigan... I'm in Wisconsin...  I never heard of Kindle Nation...  I get my free Kindle books from 'E-reader News' or 'Pixel of Ink'...  you can Google either of these sites and sign up for their daily email newsletters and the free books are listed on there.

You just click on a book and it takes you to the Amazon site where you can download it with one click on your Kindle if you are registered with Amazon... super easy!

There are lots of free books available but usually only for the one day of the email notification so you have to check them every evening since the emails come in the afternoon...

In the last year I have downloaded hundreds of free books and am now worried I might overload my Kindle so I look at the emails every day hoping I don't see another book I absolutely must have for free...  lol

Good Luck... Don't get hooked on free books like I did  :)

I know what you mean, it's easy to become addicted to these free books. I have a question though; does it save space when you archive you ebooks on Kindle? That's what I've been doing when I finish one, thinking I'm saving myself some room but I really don't know if it actually is.

I've wondered the same thing myself, S D...  I also have been archiving the books I have read.  That way I won't end up reading them again...  lol

I think you can go to your Amazon acount and delete the books completely, which I will try to do if my Kindle starts to slow down...  so far I haven't had that problem but I think it is looming just beyond the next few book downloads.  That's why I am getting very choosy about new books offered.

Hmmmm...I'm in Tennessee and I just joined Kindlenation. I don't know why you could not.

Oops....Just checked I go to Kindlenationdaily, no joining just a web site sponsored by Amazon, I think.

I'll try that, Slopok. Thanks!

Kindlenation also has a cool thing called a Tracker; you can enter kindlebooks into it & it'll notify you if the price drops down to where you can afford it, kind of nice, I've been notified & bought 2 so far that way.
