...The Ranch's answer to you -know - what - with no rules.

Go ahead...tell us what you're having for dinner - we can't wait! Got a cute pic of kitty peeking out of a paper bag? Post it! We live for that stuff!

Math addict? How about a refresher on the Pythagorean Theorem?

Like macaroni and cheese? Tell us why!

So even if you're not a writer or a poet (yet), there's still plenty of fun things to do at the Armadillo!

Oh baby, oh baby!

I think Bmichael meant that the Nyquil was for Marilyn's mother?

Day 6, huh?  Impressive restraint.

My mother and I usually get into it a few hours into the visit. :-D

I came across these lines in a BillyCollins poem: "...to mark the passage of time/as a fish would have if nailed by the tail/ to the wall above the head of a guest."   So the fish does not yet stink, M?

Breaking news!

I've accepted a job offer at the Department of Social Services.  The job entails driving kids to and from appointments and talking with them/listening to them, and also filing.  I'm so glad I spent all that time, money, and effort on getting my civil engineering degree, the diploma for which arrived in the mail the day I got the offer.

Sigh.  It's a job, and it has health insurance.  There are many people out there who would be grateful for this job.  I'm trying to force myself to be one of them.

Health insurance?    :^ D   Maybe there will be a bond there with some of the kids - could be more satisfying than you think.

At least I'm not stuck in the office all day.  :-D

And, presumably, I was meant to get this job -- I did not really try to sell myself at all in the interview, and they still wanted to hire me.  And they know just exactly how old I am, because they made a copy of my driver's license.

Congratulations!

Yes ... congrats! I am exhausted from entertaining my verrrrrrrrrrrrrry eldery mother, but can say, congrats with sincerity. (I am also drunk and so is my new husband, who keeps saying, "If she were my mother she would have been dead 10 years ago" ... Indeed.

But back to the point... congrats on a job w/insurance!

Hic,

Any ideas out there around constant clothes buying and costume changes? Compulsion or display of imagination? A young fellow I know favors varied costumes for all occasions: pin striped or argyle for court, lots of long black t-shirts with sexy images on them, which he changes throughout the day, fedoras and cabana shirts with matching light & loose slacks for…I’m not sure what. Where would you wear that? Art show? Poetry reading? Aguy could have a closet full and still need more and more. Why do people do that?

Is it possible this young man is just trying out different personalities?  How old is he?

I think this is fairly common in high school -- who am I this week?

mid-thirties,actually. Dresses kind of young.

Oh, then I have no idea.
