TBD

TBD on Ning

and here we are, despite the rumored demise of teebeedee!

Independence Day is the big holiday for mid-summer, and the heat wave will make it a toasty warm one, for sure!

What are your plans for summer, what will you do different before the days get short again?

just popping in to check on my friends.  this morning thru lunchtime is "free"!!!!  4+ days of conference has left me mentally exhausted -- partly from the 5 meetings i got to scribe for (most were 3-4 hour sessions) but also from the unaccustomed presence of so many people....  even tho' i know many of them and generally they're all good and pleasant folk, and some i count as friends w/ a few as good friends, just being around so many has been stressful.  my daily life since retirement rarely has more than interaction with 2-3 humans in a day, if that.  so, in one sense, i have plenty stored up, going into winter!

i too had contemplated going to Michigan City and i find i'm sad not to be there, but it was the right decision for me.  i truly hope they all have a grand time.  some are already "real life" friends (Larry, Carol, Deb, Steve, Robbie, not sure who else that plans to be there) but i'd sure like to meet Dana and Carmen and our RRC and Wendy, all of whom will be there, i know.

i did find out this week that next summer's conference will be in San Antonio, so that settles my travel to Denver -- I'll wait and do my partial Route 66 trip in conjunction with San Antonio!  will have to check the map to see where in KS RRC is, but might be able to pull that off, somehow in between Amarillo and Oklahoma City.  i'll get to planning that next spring, but for now it looks as tho' Denver will be a train trip, something i've not done in 10 years, so that's exciting in its own right!

i'll be back on Monday.  miss you guys!
