TBD on Ning

OK, Here goes.

It is the third. Of may that is. I haven't been here for a while and decided to check in. Saw that the April 2012 Discussion had  been closed. When the REPLY tag vanishes that means the discussion is closed. I thought about reopening it and then changed my mind and opened this one.

At some distance they look like fat flies.  I made a bee hotel following the strict website instructions a few years ago.  It stayed completely vacant.  The 3 we have are sections of hollow bambo stocks with a variety of hole sizes gathered in a bunch.  The bees love it.  I understand honey bees are dying out so orchard mason bees are becoming more important in the pollination process.

you're right about the honey bees, and i'm thinking it's LOTS easier to "keep" the kind that don't sting!

I checked out Sharon's jewelry a while back and it is wonderful. I am amazed at the intricacy of her pieces.

Home for the day and sitting with my feet up, my day off will be spent on the road picking up honey. One benefit is a getting to stop at a few other places along the way.

safe travels, RRC!

Hi Crystal, thanks for stopping by Sharon's shop.

Ahhhhh a honey run tomorrow huh!  Sweet!!!

Monday evening and all is well.  Worked hard shoving the computer mouse around most of the day.  I took some time out to build the base of a roll-around cabinet for her jewelry parts warehouse.  Light rain today and more in store I am sure.

tuesday and it's sunny, yippee!  hazy, tho, with hot and t'storms predicted.  with luck, i'll get to swim okay.

not much else going on, just another conference call today.

Rained most of today.  No surprise huh!  Maybe tomorrow then.

Good afternoon, everyone!  It's a good day here in the 'Burgh.

Just doing laundry and hanging out.

Hanging out is a good thing.  Not so sure about laundry though.  Lucky for me Sharon likes doing laundry but drew the line at my suggestion of taking laundry in for more fun and profit.  LOL

laundry is so simple now that i have my own washer & dryer on the same level as where i live.  i need maybe 1-1/2 loads a week, and that includes bed linens, now that i'm not working, but i used to save it up 'til i had 6 or 8 loads and bounce it all down the stairs, do 2 loads at a time in coin washer/dryer, and haul it all back up 2 flights, and then i'd hurt for days.  now, it's a piece o' cake!  no, i will never "like" that but this is soooo much easier!

thursday and the long weekend is knocking at the door, yippee!

i'm going to DC area to see kids and have lunch with a girlfriend, so probably won't see you guys sat/sun, but will be back in the saddle Monday....

i've not been up to see any of the kids since Christmas holidaze.  this particular girlfriend has made 3 different trips to either Staunton or Charlottesville, where we've met up.  it's well past time for me to see kids.  the girls don't have access to wheels, and now that son is living in Maryland, his route to/from Bedford (where he still has a few cases) goes in a different direction than past me, as it used to.
