TBD

TBD on Ning

So here we are looking around, taking a peek... hanging out.

On some thread a bit ago, some one said how annoying the FB was with all the trivial updating goings on.

Personally, I don't think my daily updating is all that interesting but some times I really feel the need to share.  My kitties don't give a whit and the bird...well, he lives in his own world.  His updates would mostly involve "lived another day"..."got some of that shredded stuff again (cheese)"  etc.

Mostly, I have you fine folks to droll on about my meager existence and occasional moments of wonderful.

So, here you go...Keep it brief...mundane with a bit of intrigue.

Heaven's to Murgatroyd! At least it wasn't Snagglepuss.

I'm at the Escapees RV Park near Bushnell, FL.

Hard to believe that the carnage on I-75 Monday morning wasn't major news everywhere. 10 killed, burned bodies still in the cars. Vehicles stacked on top of each other. The officials were still out there assessing the damage when I came down through the area this morning.

Such a tragedy.  Did I hear that the fire was intentionally set?

Glad you're safe.  Hope Happy's happy!

Make sure you sleep tonight!
No cartoon marathons!

I always thought Dick Dastardly and Snidley Whiplash were twins.

They aren't?

Is Snidley from Rocky and Bullwinklle? [or Bullwinkle and Rocky]?

Or, neither?

I remember Rocky and Bullwinkle, Natasha and Boris, Peabody and Sherman, but I can't remember the "hero".

And, who's Pointdexter?

I guess I could Google, but I have so much open on my computer right now I'm afraid it will explode it I open one more thing...

I don't about a hero in my own life, DD but back in the day, I was a legend in my own pants.  ;-)

My Status is; I'm headed for bed.

Finished the coffee and crossword.
Watched Sunday Morning.
Put the Pork Stew into the crockpot.

Heading to the baker to get some cornbread.
Maybe I'll grab some breakfast while I'm out...

Just ignore my comment on the other thread.

Pretend I asked for your pork stew recipe instead.

5 cups low sodium chicken broth
1 tablespoon canned chilies in adobo sauce, chopped
2 tablespoons adobo sauce
2 teaspoons cummin
1 pound dried black beans
1 large red onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 1/2 pounds pork shoulder
1 teaspoon salt.

Sour cream, salsa for serving

Whisk the broth, chilies, adobo sauce and cummin in the crockpot.
Add the beans, onion and garlic.
Add the pork.
Cook, covered, on low for 7-8 hours. Or on high for 5-6 hours.

Serve with garnishes and cornbread if desired.

Note: I start with 4 cups of broth and then check after a few hours. If needed, I add another cup.
My niece adds tortilla chips and cheddar cheese to hers

Thanks! It sounds great.
