It might be fun and interesting to do a variation on Rishi's "Une Lingne Donne" discussion in which three participants will each write a full haiku (rather than a single line) that will end up telling a cohesive haiku "story."
The first person will write a haiku. The second person will hit "reply" to that haiku, copy and paste it in the reply box, then add his or her own haiku. The third person will hit "reply" to the second offering, copy and paste the first two haiku, then add the third and final haiku.
Three haiku for each completed "story" sounds good to me because it gives the opportunity for a beginning, middle, and end.
I'll begin...

singing in the rain
we're just singing in the rain
tipping on tip toes
with dampened spirits
we rise above the chaos
enjoy each other
OR ....
singing in the rain
we're just singing in the rain
tipping on tip toes
just singing in rain
what a glorious feeling
I'm happy again
singing in the rain
we're just singing in the rain
tipping on tip toes
just singing in rain
what a glorious feeling
I'm happy again
hold on while it lasts
treasure each moment of joy
the flood is coming
singing in the rain
we're just singing in the rain
tipping on tip toes
with dampened spirits
we rise above the chaos
enjoy each other
while sun-filled raindrops
illuminate dim corners
of our care worn hearts
eyes looking inward
memories like old photos
aging in attics
eyes looking inward
memories like old photos
aging in attics
a heart cache of love
painful retrieval at first
comforting later
eyes looking inward
memories like old photos
aging in attics
a heart cache of love
painful retrieval at first
comforting later
for beneath the pain
yesterday's forgotten joy
waits to spring anew
pylons of color
orange tipped with white and yellow
halloween begins
autumn winds strengthen
squirrels excavate their nuts
munchkins make disguise
pylons of color

halloween begins
autumn winds strengthen
squirrels excavate their nuts
munchkins make disguise
Seeking many things
a hidden identity
and mostly candy!
Halloween evening
some dressed, some wait 'til Thursday
where'd that snow come from....
Halloween evening
some dressed, some wait 'til Thursday
where'd that snow come from....
turkey comes and goes
thanks for blessings is given
some look for a star...
dawn breaks on a manger
some celebrate a child's birth
a new year begins...
