Howdy everyone...finally getting a moment to stop by and visit some of my favorite folks.
It has been another crazy day here at Encore Antiques and Collectables...did manage to get my nails done and I hit the ground running as soon as I got back. Sheryl is off picking up product at the state fair and Ward and I are here manning the store and I had a whole list of things I wanted to get done today and I haven't gotten one done.
I am going to drink my coffee while it is hot..since I just reheated the cup I poured at 10 am.
Loving the cool weather today too!~!!
if "crazy" means plenty of customers keeping you busy, then I'm all for it, RRC! if it just means cleaning and dusting off shelves and dealing with vendors, then, not so much... but yes, i DO hope you get to enjoy some of your coffee while it's still hot, even if it is 2nd time around.
glad you stopped in!
Howdy guys! My back is feeling better today. I haven't done anything but show the ant guy where they are lurking in the kitchen. Pesky rascals are insisting it's theirs.
Sharon took the day off for some mental adjustment. Her mother has been diagnosed with carcinosarcoma. That's about all we know for sure at this time. All of the long time smokers take heed. The cancer is well developed before any symptoms appear.
bye, bye, ants.
hope you two had a relaxing day, despite the reasons..
Yoo hoo....anyone here??
I am finally getting a break to sit for a moment, I might take this chance to eat some lunch.
Yes Lynn, crazy means running myself ragged waiting on customers, the business is still flourishing..just had a sale of $848, and everyone says the economy is bad..not for some folks it seems.
Off to work again.
yay, i'm glad you have a steady supply of customers, that's wonderful! not that you can justify slacking off, at this point, but i'm so glad for you that you've gotten well and solidly launched! yippee!
it's true, even CNN talking heads mention it, there's a decent-sized segment of the population that's really not feeling any "recession" effects, they're just chugging along with business as usual. i'm glad some of 'em are choosing to shop with you!!
wishing you and all the rest of the gang a good saturday, Richard.
bummer that your back is still being uncooperative....
the local newspaper today reports that winter is likely to resemble last year's -- another La Nina is underway in the Pacific, and that the 2nd year of a La Nina, when that occurs, is usually colder and wetter than the first one. doesn't hold out much hope, predicting continued conditions pretty much everywhere -- drought in TX, spring floods up north. pretty grim. ugh.
My Baby turns 15 today......
They are off to a Kansas State football game in celebration...I am debating whether to be lazy and sit around the house or go shopping..I have a coupon burning a hole in my pocket.
Hope your back gets to feeling better Richard.
RRC, I'll go shopping with you and you can get rid of that hot coupon. We know you don't do hot pants well.
We can do dinner after.
