TBD

TBD on Ning

It is August 1 and I just couldn't post in the July thread.

The dog days of summer are upon us...along with the August Meet in Pittsburgh.

Stop in have a cup of coffee or a glass of iced tea. If it is later in the day help yourself to a glass of wine or bottle of beer.

Share a thought and let us know how life is treating you...we love hearing from you.

i'm baaccckkkk!  see you all monday!
Woohoo!!  Your own bed and pillow...... there's nothing more inviting after a long trip.

My brother and niece came to spend a long weekend here in Portland.  This morning I took them to see the water wheel.  When the stack of boards are gone the wheel will be complete.

YAY!  It's real.  And I love it.  Thanks for sharing, Richard!  I've forgotten, I'm sorry, but where is the water wheel located?
It is at an environmental learning center in Vancouver Washington near the Columbia River.
that's great, Richard!
Good Monday, everyone!  Not much longer for this August thread!  This month has really flown by!  It's great to hear that those of you impacted by Irene came through okay!  Hopefully we can enjoy the rest of the summer without any more hurricanes, flooding, earthquakes and other violent expressions of Mother Nature!

Good Morning All,

Richard, That is one impressive project.  What will you do with all your free time after it is finished?

Cat, I knew you would be up before me. Hope the rivers there aren't too high.

Hey everyone, I happened to be on Skype when Doug made his first experimental call. So, I guess you could say I got his cheery?

Oh yeh, Today is the first day of my last long, 2 1/2 day work week here at Raccoon Valley.
I am afraid there isn't enough free time Robbie.  The front porch rebuild, painting the front of the house and garage, monitoring the remodeling of my daughter's office building, etc will keep me busy for some time to come.

for a retired guy, you're pretty busy!

just to tantalize you, Richard, on Friday nite, my friend Mary shared with me some 15-year old El Dorado rum, it's from Guyana.  sipping rum, for sure; it was yummy!  gold, not dark, but smooth....

Mmmm sounds delicious!  You are a tease Lynn!  Last night was a Goslings night.
