It is August 1 and I just couldn't post in the July thread. 

The dog days of summer are upon us...along with the August Meet in Pittsburgh.

Stop in have a cup of coffee or a glass of iced tea. If it is later in the day help yourself to a glass of wine or bottle of beer.

Morning all.

Back up in triple digits here, Kiefer is already at his first practice of the day and I need to get ready for work. Did I really have 6 days off just a while ago? Seems like an eternity.

yes, it's amazing how fast the vacation relaxation vanishes, once we're back home!

i hope Kiefer's coach is good about watching for signs of heat exhaustion and so forth -- practice in that kind of heat is scary!  even for the tough young kids....

Hi Lynn, yes they are good about frequent water breaks, and the boys were supposed to start hydrating last week in preparation for practice. So far Kiefer has kept up, he is a tough little athlete...takes after his Dad.

i'm in Bellevue, WA, at the conference that's the reason for this trip.  Friday i'll head to Portland.

Conference isn't nearly as fun as the road trip!

Morning all....you early birds are already at work I bet.

Thanks for the coffee Robbie, I am going to need plenty today. Didn't sleep good again last night. I am heading to the doctor this morning to have my shoulder checked out. Something popped in there a week ago and the pain isn't getting any better. 

Maybe Larry will cook something for breakfast.
