it looks like we're winding down, and nobody bothered to open a discussion today, so i thought i'd just set up a thread for this month, and let whoever wanders in, whenever, post to it. if our moderator wants to do something differently, you'll doubtless hear about it.
after realizing that i didn't need to move to MI, i'm going to Staunton, VA, the last week of this month, and thinking to plant myself there for the rest of my life. no other roots yet, other than that's the home of the state's premier mental institution, altho' i've never (yet) been there.
the remnants of Independence Day week must be going slowly, since nobody's been here.
yeah, i don't want to sign off tbd completely, but i realize that facecrack is taking over and all the follow-ons to TBD are slowly fading into oblivion. still, i'm grateful for the people that Robyn's creation let me connect with, and i am glad to have that facecrack thingee so i don't lose track of my online friends completely.
if nobody else starts in August, we can just sign off. i'll be on the road that month.

Morning all.....we are heading into another excessive heat warning day!!
I am beat...waking up before 7 after getting to sleep around 2 is not a good thing...at least I have a short day at work today.
The wee hours was caused because we were trying to get out of the store a little early since we had an hour drive. Of course that meant we didn't get out until 6:45. We made a mad dash in about 15 minutes through Hobby Lobby to grab the things we needed. Thank goodness Kohls doesn't close until 11 pm. LOL
Cat's away is right Richard...where is Cat anyway?

It's Monday, it's hot and I have the day off...what in heck should I do?
I really need to go get my wedding ring repaired, pick up a few groceries...but it's HOT.
Did I mention...it's HOT?
LynneAnne, I miss those day too but I am so happy to still be connected with my friends, what I miss is the folks I have lost on each of the moves.

It's already 80 degrees....we are heading to another 100+ day again.
Relaxing? HA..I already have one load of laundry in the dryer, I need to empty the bucket where the AC condensation is draining and check my list of things I want to accomplish before my evening meeting. The new board of directors for our community theater meets tonight. I bet it is going to be a long meeting.
Soak up some of that cool for me will ya!

I'm Up, I'm Up. But it ain't starting out as a good day. Seem to have picked up some kind of bug. Woke up felling really sluggish and have now been to the Throne twice in the last couple hours. Guess I'll just work around the RV today. The temp today is supposed to stay in the 80's. We'll see.

Today is my last full day in Virginia. Today I finish packing and tomorrow I’m on my way to Missouri after stopping in Ohio and Indiana.
LynneAnne, I miss the original TBD days too but life does go on. I’m thankful for the ones I have been able to stay in touch with.
RRC, hope you get the ring fixed. Stay cool today.Richard, hope you get some warm sunny weather today!

This is where the atom bomb was developed. It is also a significant part of TVA.
