good morning, all!

many of us heard (and maybe saw) fireworks last night, if things aren't too dry to even have them at all. how strange to rearrange THE national holiday to a weekend night, that somehow seems worse than the Monday holidaze we've become accustomed to. yep, i must be an old fuddyduddy, but it just seems not right.

but today's another day, and no doubt there will be fireworks today, and more tomorrow, somewhere.

Hope you have an enjoyable weekend. I love watching fireworks, and can just stay home if I wish and go into the middle of my street to watch...

Have just finished reading an remarkable, inspiring book called 29 Gifts by Cami Walker, am ready to embark on the journey, amazing stuff, am going to order two more books to give to friends and the one I just read will give to my daughter Jenni

Hi everyone! Lynn, I know there are fireworks all around here tonight, and again tomorrow I'm sure. We haven't had rain in quite some time, so I wonder if they'll go through with it. They sure sell them everywhere. Tents set up everywhere. Scary. I have my garden hose out! LOL, true. Last year they were setting them off just at the end of the cul de sac and the fire company did come. I'll stay home and watch them from my bedroom window. I can see Pittsburgh's and some of the neighboring communities.

That was rather long. . . y'all have a safe 4th, whatever you do! I'm having a picnic here today, since I know the kids will all be running to in-laws and cousins tomorrow.

The city fireworks are tonight...we usually go down to the end of the street and watch..still a little hot and muggy, I may watch them from inside.
Tomorrow we are going to one of our vendors annual sale..hope to find a few goodies for me!!! Then home to have a few friends over and just sit back and enjoy the holiday.

Great day here! Had about 14 people, and enough food for 25. Everyone has gone now to the country club to watch fireworks. I chose to stay home and clean up the rest of the food. I'm tired, and can watch fireworks from here.
