TBD on Ning

Ready for a new one? May we try something different? I have been tripping of late through my old tunes and find many memories stirred through the process. They are coming out in my haikus. Loose rules here except for the 5-7-5 standard. Write a haiku about your favorite tune, capture favorite lines from your song, write about your favorite songwriter or however you choose to do it. You can tell what the song is if you like or have your friends guess. Let's have some fun here and bring back some of our favorite tunes. Might be a way of honoring our "heroes" of younger years. Below are a couple of haikus from our prior discussions as examples:

I talk to the wind
time to say goodbye my dear
the wind does not hear

(by Scott Williamson in 'Goodbye and Wind')

OR -

c'mon and touch me
can't you see I'm not afraid
c'mon touch me babe

I like to dream, yes

right between my sound machine

on a cloud of sound

magic carpet ride

why not tell your dreams to me

sounds take you away

For My Beloved--This house is empty now for a very different reason but, nonetheless, so terribly lonely without you. I love you so.

this house is empty

reflections of love remain

echoes of laughter

through nightmare vision

he sees nothing, only well

stranger to himself

(do not know if this link will work......Traffic     Stranger to Himself - good tune)

soon you'll have to face the fact

For My Eternal Beloved, Mo Dhuine, D.

they can't comprehend

what we mean to each other...

say we are mated

things have kept us down

we won't let them hold us back...

no stopping us now

feet are tired, my brain is numb

another Harry's bar

in think blue haze, feel no pain

that's the tale they tell

Harry's long gone now

the ghost will make this world right

it'll all turn right

upon your perch, say the word

fall down on my knees

everywhere I go

I feel you there, do you know

do you even care

for all we two know

we may never meet again...

make this moment sweet

we won't say goodnight

'til the very last minute...

my heart's in my hand

for all we two know

this may only be a dream...

ripples on a stream

so love me tonight

tomorrow may never come

for all we two know

I'll love you forever, My Dearest.
