101 and rising! Thats the prediction for today. Three weather advisory alerts all dealing with record setting temps. I'm susposed to be working outside today. doubt that I'll do much but have to get going before it gets too hot.

It is pretty steamy outside...already 80 at 11 am. I am heading out to visit my folks and check out the storm damage. They had some big hail go through there this week.

According to the Weather Channel it is 98 degrees but feels like 102 at 1:00 pm CDT.

Good morning all!  We're at a very comfortable 80 degrees right now, with the sun shining brightly.  Robbie, don't do anything today.  Get yerself a big bucket of water, and one for Happy.  Sit on the porch drinking a cold something and soak your feet.  (or go sit inside and turn on  the a/c).  Whatever it is you do, have fun, and seriously, stay cool.

 

Well, my lucky streak is over.  I just fell in our busy lobby in the building here.  I knew it couldn't last long.  Darn it anyway.  Turns out someone spilled their coffee or some sort of drink and didn't have it cleaned up. . so here comes Cat and splat. .  right down.  Landed on my knees and scraped up my toes. . LOL.  My knees are burning, but I can walk, so I guess I'm good to go 'til the next fall.

Robbie, I just read your post in yesterday's thread about the canoe.  Well, I just want to mention that when you're here in August for the meet, I know we'll have some kayakers here.  You just might want to give it a try. I think you'll like it.  My kayak is easy to get in and out of.

Hey all...I am hiding in the house....it is 100+ today. Had blood work and all this morning for insurance so I am late getting here. 
Glad you are okay Cat...nothing worse than taking a spill.
I too am trying to come up with some exciting snippet, my life seems pretty dull after reading through that thread.
