What do you see when you close you eyes right befor you go to sleep at night? I see intricate things like clothing from the renaissance era...more colorful & intricate than in any movie I have ever seen.....I have often thought if I keep colored pencils right next to my bed, when I envision these things I may even be able to draw them in a trance like state of mind.

If you see nothing when you close your eyes.....think of your dreams & what kind of patterns they follow..or not......Are your dreams in color? Are they good or bad or both?

I often wonder if an artist who has the gift can see visions whether their eyes are open or closed.

I have to close my eyes to envision these magnificent things & once my eyes are open the visions are gone.

How do you all have your visions? Can you put them on paper or use them wisely in your day to day routines? Not sure what I am asking here..so just go w/ the flow & write what you want about your dreams or visions & how you wish (or not) they could effect your life more profoundly.

Also helps me get rid of stress - she's a sort of intergalactic bounty hunter, so she drags the Universe's Most Wanted back to the Collective Universal Justice of the Peace all the time.

pfffttttt...like a woman could actually pilot a starship across the universe chasing quantum defying bad guys.

I don't usually get visions except at that time between sleeping and waking, and those visions are really weird and sometimes frightening.
I get those sometimes too...Last frightening one I had I was drinking again.....It was right around the time I had thought about going to a AA meeting. Since I have only been to 2 meetings in the last 10 or 11 years, I guess the thought of it sent me on a dream binge...best for me to stay away from meetings I guess...:)
I rarely remember any dreams. I just lay down and "BAM" I'm asleep. My mother always said that she had never known anyone who went to sleep as quickly as me.  I used to have terrible nightmares up until I was about 20. Then they quit happening.  For which I am eternally thankfull.

Oh yeh, In 1995 I had a DUI. Part of the punishment was that I had to attend 5 AA meetings. Very interesting. Not something I would do voluntarily.  However, it(along with other aspects) did convince me to never drink and drive again.

I have never attended another AA meeting either.

You are one of the lucky ones Robbie.....Something about  being between the age of 15 & 20......when relationships between girls & boys are so new & big.....In your dreams you have taken your chosen one out on a real fancy date & all of a sudden, you look down & you have nothing on below the waist..........OHOH.
Sounds like a boy's daydream.
It was my guess as to why you had bad dreams before your 20's...you were dating?. Wouldn't a boys daydream be his date had nothing on below the waist?
Not speaking for Robbie, but as for myself, Yep, that would probably be in the realm of possibilities. But I really didn't think of those as bad dreams.  ;-)
Notice the way the wording was changed from bad dream to daydream? We are all of the same mindset on this..:)

I seem to have benevolent nightmares every night.....lots of disjointed stuff going on, with people from various stages of my life, all thrown in together......vignettes of chaos.

Its kinda like that when I'm awake too, come to think of it.

I seem to be behind a garbage truck with a large single eye peering at me from within its bowels.
