TBD on Ning

Ready for a new one? May we try something different? I have been tripping of late through my old tunes and find many memories stirred through the process. They are coming out in my haikus. Loose rules here except for the 5-7-5 standard. Write a haiku about your favorite tune, capture favorite lines from your song, write about your favorite songwriter or however you choose to do it. You can tell what the song is if you like or have your friends guess. Let's have some fun here and bring back some of our favorite tunes. Might be a way of honoring our "heroes" of younger years. Below are a couple of haikus from our prior discussions as examples:

I talk to the wind
time to say goodbye my dear
the wind does not hear

(by Scott Williamson in 'Goodbye and Wind')

OR -

c'mon and touch me
can't you see I'm not afraid
c'mon touch me babe

What a time it was

A time of innocence

Preserve memories

love imposes tasks
parsley sage rosemary thyme
not more than heart asks

we came here for love

love is the opening door

turn the key with me

words I have to say

truth is the flame we must burn

you know what I mean

Yup.

if there were no words

no way to speak, I'd still hear

if there were no tears

I'd still feel for you

if the sun refused to shine

until the end of time

haunting celtic with  feminine voice

following me on the wind and waves

serene melancholy my rested soul

scratch that please ... sorry, syllables not words

haunting celtic song

following on the sea winds

serene rested soul

nice save Jack

welcome to the group and hope to hear more from you

Beautiful tune, Jack! Haunting, indeed...

For My Beloved, D.

when night seems endless

cast your eyes on the ocean

your soul to the sea

take my hopes and tears

rise above these earthly cares...

please remember me
