TBD on Ning

You think these things are difficult to see, to watch, to face,
How does it feel to be the helpless child who LIVES it every day,
Who lives in fear, Hope and trust for some CARING someone, ANYONE to stand up and hear, see and take action against what is happening to them...
Will this be the year you stop turning away and you take a stand to help a child, to find their hope and dream of being loved?
Or have the people in this country and around the world simply decided that their time is not worth the effort for a child, an elder another being that is being destroyed one act, one beating, one WORD at a time...Will this be YOUR year to take a stand for saving children, Humans and animals from further abuse?

Where does it end, Perhaps with YOUR child or their children.....Great Spirit Have mercy on those who refuse to take a stand against, the effects of abuses of EVERY kind.

And some say "grow a back bone", How about us growing one and doing something to create a change for those who cannot help themselves...They have the backbone that so many lack, they survive!

Who is it among human kind
That cannot hear the cries of those in need

Who is so deaf, so blind so dumb
they can not speak, hear or see

How is it that you wander by their sorrow every day
How is it that you turn your heads, never stop to help, to pray

What is a child to do when the "adults" refuse to see
their pain, their hurt, their struggles, the daily misery

What is a child to become if we will not heed their cries
If we pretend to never see the sorrow, hidden in their eyes

Who will they be tomorrow, knowing who we were today
Who will help the children, help them find their way?

May I be one of many , I am quite sure trr, to thank you most sincerely for the work that you do and for the heart and emotional energy that you must put into it each day, and then as you state it follows you home and into sleep, because you do care and you do have a heart.
I have a sister, Valerie who is a social worker and she shares some of the same things that you have here.
I do think it is vital to so many lives that these issues not be kept in the closet but brought to the fore front of this society that has over looked sometimes even ignored the truths that so many face each day. Yes those who are asked to face and deal with it, whose hands and efforts are often held back or tied up because of policies and legal constraints.
I was one of these children, removed at the age of eight, then one of these women also, it was a long cycle and what seemed to be an un-escapeable prison that I allowed myself to marry into. Then for seven years after those I spent them making every effort to speak out, schools, colleges and womans club, as well as elder facilities to try and bring this horrific reality to the fore front.
I have found that often times so many will ignore or shun these things, because they are not pretty to hear, look at or to experience even from a distance. None the less they are real and someone is dying every 3 seconds from violence and/or abuse. Thank you very much for sharing your heart, hard work and daily efforts to make a difference,

Talk about being ashamed to belong to the human race! Yes when I watch so many turn away from creating the necessary changes in this world, when I see those who just moesy on through their own self centered lives, turning away from the reality that these children and others are asked to live in, Yes I am ashamed to be a part of some of the human race.
Talk about keeping ones head in the sand...
Those who can just continue to eat, sleep and pretend to be decent beings....When the world is hate, prejudice and violence free I would then be able to say that I am proud to be a part of this human race.

It is no wonder this country and world is in the shape it is in, so many simple do not care about anything but themselves and their own self centered desires. EVERY 3 SECONDS another child dies from abuse...Is the world so desensitized to this horror that they can continue to walk away, deny it's reality....

You want change, to make or be a part of the change for a better world, how about starting with those who cannot help themselves...
