I read books. My count is well over 150 per year as my latest tally for 2012 is 156 so far. I just added my latest entry, "Wallbanger" by Alice Clayton. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15858248-wallbanger Now this is not the usual genre that consumes me. My last read was "Winter of the World," the middle book of the Follett historical series. But I am also a very eclectic reader and will read anything that makes the NYT or Amazon top ten list.
My spouse and I thoroughly enjoyed the Fifty Shades trilogy last spring, even though we are in our 70s. I have come a long way from the college minor in literature that I was granted in 1961. So when I checked my Kindle top ten list a couple of days ago, there it was at number 4 and at the bargain price of $4.99. I am about a third way through the predictable story of a gal who lost her "O" and I don't mean a copy of the magazine. The guy in the next door apartment seems to have the solution as the walls between units keep shaking every night with his latest female conquest being the object of his attention.
Reading porn by respectable people used to be hiding the book under the mattress, tearing off the cover page or just reading it on the toilet, but now with the Kindle generation, anybody can read anything they want in the privacy of their Kindle cover. Even if somebody is curious, one quick button can change the title to "Pilgrims Progress," or some other classic. Also, there is no cover picture of naked people doing the "whatever" to attract attention.
I guess porn is like the Supreme Court description, "you know it when you see it." But you need to be curious enough to look for it. I can't wait for the movie version.

I just watched Hope Springs a couple of days ago. It is a story of a married couple who barely touch each other after 31 years of marriage. The divorce rate in this country is over 50%. I have to agree that a healthy sexual interest aids in keeping a marriage going. Money issues is the number one killer in marriages but lack of sexual appetite definitely makes the list. The book is not instructional but if it helps keep the sexual appetite going to hold together a marriage, I am all for someone who induges themselves in this literature.
