casey, for the record, i don't hate.....at all.

i am, however, largely disappointed in what's been tabled and signed off on by the new administration. i don't believe that any american had unconstitutional proposals, hasty decisions, and excessive and record-setting spending in mind when they voted last year....no matter which way they voted. so you see, for me, it's not about who got in, but how they're handling the problem....albeit monumental. lead by example, mr president.

and remember, we pay for everything the family in the white house does....everything. i'm sure there are a few people reading this who haven't enjoyed a lobster dinner and vacation in a $20K a week house in martha's vineyard. i'm not a huge bush fan, but at least he took his vacation on his own ranch in texas. a sympathetic gesture, if nothing else.

not one of my 'critics' on tbd has any idea of what my political philosophies are, nor do they care...rather, there are a few (very few, in the big picture) who are contentious and bitter toward me personally. as you don't know where i stand, i don't take any of this personally.

that said, i post a variety of thought-provoking information. it's important that we (the collective american WE, as well as the planet WE) become more aware of where we are and what we're facing down the road. it doesn't really matter how we got here anymore.....we're here. the 'fix' isn't an easy one. and there may not be one. there may be many -- there may be none. and i'm willing to bet that the US is in so deep that no one has an answer that will meet all of our needs.

and to your comment suggesting that i've done no research on the obama's...seriously? have you read michelle's princeton thesis? you would have needed to do so a long time ago. why do you suppose all their records...and i mean ALL...have been sealed? does is concern anyone that there has been new language introduced into bills including that no house or senate can overturn the decision of the president? this country is shifting from a democracy to a socialist nation. if he declares marshall law, we're all f-'d. and this administration is the closest we've come to that in my lifetime. i love freedom way too much for that.

in closing, if you saw a list of everything that's been put into place and currently tabled during this last (almost) year, and attached a name other than 'obama' --- let's just say "bush", to save time --- would you be still be singing praises or throwing a shit fit?

OC....Go out and do some research on Obama.....Bring us a good long list of the good stuff about him. Be real about it...Genuinly look for the good in him. I see so much good in a man who wants to help the poor. It is besides me how people look at this good man as being something evil...He is just the opposite. ...Thanks....K

This is only my observation so far.....OC has never posted anything at all positive about Obama. Does she really have that much hate in her heart to discredit someone who she has not even tried to find anything positive about? Pacis is only researching these supposed facts she digs up. It is obvious to me and many other people that whenever we see only ugly things being said about someone (There is good and bad in everyone) that the people who are posting only the negative are the ones doing the discrediting, the ones with hate in their hearts.

Innocents and innocence will die at the expense of Winning and what they perceive as right, and the fanatic will turn his ugly head full of pride.

Wikipedia: Fanaticism is a belief or behavior involving uncritical zeal, particularly for an extreme religious or political cause or in some cases sports, or with an obsessive enthusiasm for a pastime or hobby. Philosopher George Santayana defines fanaticism as "redoubling your effort when you have forgotten your aim"[1]; according to Winston Churchill, "A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject". By either description the fanatic displays very strict standards and little tolerance for contrary ideas or opinions.....

Casey states..If you have a problem with trying to see different sides and meeting somewhere in the middle, then you are most likely a fanatic moving through life with blinders on because everything around you is set in stone...

Personally, I see Obama as someone who has tried to stay in the middle. I do worry people take such offense to a middle man...To weigh out all sides and try to find oneself somewhere on middle ground is a good thing.

Fanaticism is going to kill us all.

Sarge states: "OC I hate to disagree with such a lovely lady with whom I usually agree with. But I believe obama is busy about creating a hell right here in the good ole USA?"

Caseyjo states: Hell a place where people do not have free will...This is something religious fanatics believe in. They think everyone should behave the same way they do..If anyone is going to take away your rights it is the religious fanatics of the world..and America is full of them. You can tell by the way they act anytime change is talked about. They would be happy to send us back to the dark ages and they do not want to see the world move forward..It is they who are very dangerous........All of them.

The statement that elements of socialism are not practiced, advocated, or remotely envisioned is not accurate.
Government partial ownership of banks and private corporations is within the realm of socialistic practices. These socialistic practices have therefore been envisioned, advocated, and put into practice.

A senile old fart with a totalitarian heart and some of the slickest speech writers any president's ever had. No wonder he still appeals to those who want to live in an imaginary 1950's America that never actually existed.

What is this "hell" that the President has created? It seems to me that the senate and house has over ruled anything the actual President has even attempted to do. Perhaps in this county that is the job of the American President now to be the kicking post for the senate and house?
Thank goodness I figured that one out, because I have been struggling with just what his job was anymore....!
I still will remain in applauding the President for being man and American enough to step up in the horrific mess the last House and Senate put us in, And that poor Man left office with his head hung low...Poor guy.

Hello, The senate and the house make the laws or pass them anyway, why is it that President Obama has caused a stir? Is it his skin color, his religion (at least he has one!) and why is it that after all the world has been through after the Bush decade (almost) that President Obama is to blame for every upset in the country? Hello, if he was actually capable we would have a heath care plan that actually benefited Americans...HELLO
