I am a music lover

I am a music lover. However, I don't often 'listen' lately. I have 12 CD's full of my favorites--my own 'mix', plus at least a dozen 'bought' albums. And I have many music videos saved on my computer. In the past, I have shown many of them on one of my pages--using the YouTube codes.  

This morning I woke up after having a dream of sitting in the middle of large stacks of vinyl albums! That's what made me think of this blog.  In the dream, I was trying to categorize my albums: those saved from my dad's collection &  my husband's favorites, as well as my own. I handed a few albums to 'someone' and told them to "play these".   One was the Lesley Gore album that used to be a favorite--so I've now got that playing in my head: "Judy's Turn to Cry". 

Now, believe it or not, we still have a few albums here. I'm not even sure our old record player works!  We also have some 8 Track tapes and a few Cassette tapes--the latter 2 types stored in the upright cabinet which contains the players for them all. My husband doesn't like to 'get rid' of anything!  

Just for fun, I looked. There are actually only 4 albums left. One is my "Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii"; the others are my husband's. I just remembered: we did put all the others into a neighbor's yard sale, a number of years ago. And according to my husband, the 'players' still work; but the speaker system went bad. So I guess that's why we don't even use the radio part! 

For now, I use my 'boombox' to play the instrumental CD of relaxing music I listen to every night as I go to seep. And this laptop still has a CD/DVD player, so I'll try to remember to USE it!
