I was without power and heat for 40 hours. I know there are others in my area that are still without it because I just got back from the make shift shelter at the volunteer firehouse. It was so great to get a hot meal, share some laugher about the situation with others in the same situation.
I never thought I would ever go to a shelter, but when I heard about it my mind was made up. I had to wipe some tears away from my son. He wanted to wait it out at home. But one day sitting in fron of the fireplace and a night buried under blanket was not something I wanted to repeat.
They are calling for more snow on tuesday, I pray it doesn't.
