For the last few days, I've noticed that my laptop 'freezes' at times. At first, I thought it was the 'game' I was playing, but then it happened when I was playing Solitaire--the one that comes with all Windows computers. It was happening frequently, which worried me.
So, since it's been 18 months since I did a Reset on this 6-year-old laptop, I thought maybe that's what it needed. My other option was to ask my computer guru to look at it, to see if they could see what the problem was. I wasn't sure what I should do.
I thought about the problem for a day or so; then I went ahead & moved all my Files to my external drive--to be safe. I also made a list of all the programs I have on here, via screenshot.
Today, when I went to 'recover', I remembered the 'before the Reset' option. It took quite a while, but I used that to install the 'Windows 11 repair version". So far, it's working fine. So I'll see what happens.
Some info: I've used the Reset option multiple times over the years, on both my laptops. That has always fixed whatever the problem was.

Something I realized a while ago: when I did that 'repair version', it auto-upgraded me to Windows 25H2 (I had 24H2 before that). I only realized that because I had to re-install the "copy to/move to" thing. So I'm happy that I don't need to worry about the Upgrade now.
I'm still figuring out where everything is on Windows 11.
