I think one's photography must first and always please the photographer -- since the picture is a tribute to and an expression of the world as seen by oneself. The great beauty in a photograph is that it can be seen and interpreted in a million different ways. It is my guess that you love to see the inner qualities of a picture because it brings you great comfort and joy -- and feeds and warms that inner place in you.

To me, it is wonderful if others like or even love ones work, however, if no one ever saw my work it would still give me the same amount of joy. Oh by the way, I took both pictures on a cold and sunny day in January and I especially like the picture of the wild iris since it represents to me the beauty of the common person. -- in fact -- years ago it was said that the iris was "the poor man's orchid".

One of the finest things that I am learning is Photography is an amazing career. Love to see every little detail in other peoples pictures or forms of art. I enjoyed very much that picture of the forrest..it seems that is a fall forrest..reflecting on the water..amazing colors..thank you for sharing.
