Ginger Update

Weeks passed since the storm rumbled through and Ginger entered our lives soaked to the skin, wounded, and bleeding. The vet did the blood work making sure the kitten did not have feline leukemia or aids so it could stay with us and not put our other elderly kitties in jeopardy. Ginger snuggled in quite nicely in the cat carrier in my mediation room. We put a baby gat on the door so the other cats could jump in if they wanted to visit but the kitten could not get out, thus keeping it somewhat… Continue

Ginger Ten~ten

Earlier this summer, after a terrible thunderstorm ended we heard the sounds of a distressed cry. It was nearly midnight and Steve and I had not yet gone to bed as we were enjoying the cool calm the storm had brought when it left. Then he heard it too. It was the… Continue

Mali Teaches

Mali is my ISSR Shiloh Shepherd. I came today to try once again to put into words some of what I see when I watch Mali teach. I have tried to write before about but what she does but is so subtle it is hard to define and if you are not watching her, you could miss it happening.

There are many aspects of breeding dogs, the average person does not know. Learning takes years of studying to become a GREAT breeder and it takes a GREAT mentor to help facilitate this process. Knowing exactly what you are… Continue

Hedgewitch -- Just reading some of your posts about Mali -- makes me miss my kids greatly (haven't seen them since April). She sounds wonderful -- and a Service dog! I've a friend at work that has two Shilohs whom I've met -- nice, big gentle Giants :-)
