My day job is a Freelance Information Technology Consultant. I have 16 years of experience in Systems/Network Administration, Project Management, Messaging/Groupware Administration, Security Analysis, Solutions Consulting & IT Business Analysis.
I can create the vision to match Information Technology to business problems or goals, manage the projects toward that or another vision, provide guidance on how to plan for the future and prepare for the worst with policies and disaster recovery plans.
Before becoming a freelance consultant, I have worked in the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Consultancy industries. While consulting, I have experienced additional industries: Energy, Finance, & Governmental.
Though my prime hobby is computers, I’m also taking after my Grandfather by gardening. In my spare time not playing in the dirt or with a computer, I enjoy playing frisbee and the Wii with my wife and kids, as well as writing.
One of the happiest days of my life was when the most intelligent and wonderful woman I know agreed to join me in this lifelong adventure. I have been married to this most excellent woman - Toni - for 16 years, as of July 2009.
During the Summer of 2007, while we were visiting in Kenya, I realized that I had an unfulfilled need to write. So, I began two projects: the first is a memoir of my grandparents and their farm, and the second is a fantasy/scifi novel I have been tossing around in my mind for some time.
