About Me:
Kaeru Pictures - KP is a production group dedicated to democratzing electronic media on the large and small screens, printed page and stage by providing sustainable and community-based albeit not always politically-popular content.

Why 'Kaeru'? - Uncle Jake was a frog collector. Frogs hold special meaning in Japan and for many Japanese Americans. The Japanese word for frog, 'kaeru,' also means "to return." Travelers carry frog charms to ensure a safe return from their journey.
Director, Producer, Fund Developer, Facilitator
Interests and Hobbies: We're looking for stage and screen plays with good stories: Produced and directed: The Webster Street Blues - Spring 2004; Stardust - Summer 2005; A Little Bit of Discipline - Fall 2006; Gold Digger - Fall 2007; Adobo - Fall 2008; Boulder Asian Film Festival Director

I'm a native of Wyoming and now reside in Boulder Colorado. Lately, I mostly work with community based media producers, organizations, and socially-responsible businesses to develop their content via - the written word, electronic and new media, the visual and performing arts in a culturally competent manner - I'm what's commonly called a niche TV and movie producer. I continue to provide cultural competency and diversity training for a wide variety of clients such as law enforcement, housing providers, youth serving agencies, schools, violence against women prevention groups.I've been involved with community journalism since 1963 when I wrote for my elementary school paper, the FairView. I'm an avid sports fan. The great thing about being from rural Wyoming is there isn't a lot of sports regionalism. I'm a third generation Yankees fan; lifelong University of Wyoming fan; Celtics and Bears fan because they always recruited from the Western Athletic and Mountain West conferences. Having gone to school at Hastings College I evolved into a Nebraska fan, which is interesting on game day in Boulder!
