TBD

TBD on Ning

So here we are looking around, taking a peek... hanging out.

On some thread a bit ago, some one said how annoying the FB was with all the trivial updating goings on.

Personally, I don't think my daily updating is all that interesting but some times I really feel the need to share.  My kitties don't give a whit and the bird...well, he lives in his own world.  His updates would mostly involve "lived another day"..."got some of that shredded stuff again (cheese)"  etc.

Mostly, I have you fine folks to droll on about my meager existence and occasional moments of wonderful.

So, here you go...Keep it brief...mundane with a bit of intrigue.

Fasttalking in a cowboy hat is like the Dudes-" All hat n' No cattle".

I haven't looked in for a couple of weeks.  Thanks to DD for making my life a little easier.  Only took me about 2 minutes to catch-up reading your Readers Dijest version of things.

I got an advertisement in the mail from Fiat. It says that if I come in and test drive one of their new Fiat 500 series cars, that they will give me a $50 gift certificate for either Neiman Marcus, or Amazon. I did some Googling, and this seems to be a legitimate offer. Guess I'm going for a test drive. I can but quite a few books for my kindle from Amazon for 50 bucks!

Hot Dam Tee! If there isnt some Fait trechery wen yuo go for yuor test drive let us no ok?

I'm starting my Amazon shopping cart as I type....

Will do DD. I'm not sure when I'm going to go. The ad says I've got until July 5th.

I went and got the coupon $50 dollar Amazon.com gift card yesterday. Told the guy up front that I wasn't going to buy a car, (wish I could cause those cars were COOL!) and the guy printed up my coupon on the spot.

I also finally finished up the two wicker chairs I rescued from someones trash. All of the legs had rotted off, but the chairs were basically solid. There were a few breaks here and there that I repaired with contact cement. I also had to weave some webbing under the seats that were sagging a little. I found some PVC plumbing parts at Home Depot that I was able to attach and use for legs. I found some rope that was real close to the same size as the wicker, and wrapped the legs with the rope. Then I tied some macrame knots into a strip that I glued in place to hide the transition from the old stuff that I cut off, and the new stuff I added. Then I painted the chairs a dark brown to match the couch in our family room. I think they came out pretty nice. We had to spend about $60 form two cushions, about $25 for a gallon of paint, and with the PVC pieces, rope, and contact cement, I figure we came in a little under a hundred bucks. Not too bad for two nice chairs, and on top of that, I kept them out of the land fill.

And here is a shot of the legs I made.

Well done Teebs!

Still have original 10 fingers and  10 toes.

I'm still in WV, but trying to hit the road tomorrow.

It's about time you showed up!

Well now.....Hello stranger!
