Now for something completely different, and something the media desperately wants and needs to move the entertainment value of 24/7 coverage.
The Duchess of Cambridge is due, actually overdue according to some. Katie Middleton, wife of Prince William, second in line to the throne of England, is having a baby, and it should be in the few days. And yes, the media is ready, willing and more than able to carry it all, and more.
This event, is a royal occasion and full of centuries' old ceremony and pomp that Great Britain expects of its royalty. And yes, sex matters, obviously.
The royal babe will be the third in line of succession; Charles, William and this child while great-great grandma still reigns.
Which does leave the discussion open as to whether she, Elizabeth should abdicate in that Charles is about to receive his pension as the next in line. The Queen of the Netherlands has already shown the way as has the King of Belgium, as moving in to retirement leaving those in waiting no longer. The Queen Mum, Elizabeth's mother, made it to over hundred and therefore Elizabeth at 87 has years to go.
Of course, the joyous occasion is also been pre-marketed and hyped, with the wagering on the outcome a major play in betting parlors.
The current line is on it being a female, and as guess at to a name it might be Elizabeth Ann, though a sentimental favorite would be Diana. Whereas the question of a boy and a boy's name is harder bet in that Diana's boys were William and Henry(Harry) leaving open the naming options with probably a George a good bet in that it skips a few generations and yet falls in line with the history of the House of Windsor, of the also runs is Andrew and Edward but the current incumbents are a problem.

I think Diana would be appropriate but I'm not gong to hold my breath...
Actually there was a Prince John, youngest son of George V, born in 1905 and died in 1919. He had epilepsy and was hidden away by the royal family.
The story has been made into a BBC TV series, The Lost Prince, and was shown a few years ago as a part of PBS's Masterpiece Theater series. The star of this show was Gina McKee who has appeared in numerous Brit shows included the Forsyte Saga and currently Jeremy Irons nemesis in Showtimes, The Borgias.
LOL... The only one I knew before was the one in the Robin Hood stories.
Let the inducing begin, or something .....
Its hot in London and boring in the streets in front of St. Mary's Hospital which has been the scene of a camp out for the media and the curious, actually the mostly curious with nothing much to see or report.
If the presumed due date is getting on a week past then the medical decision could be to put an accelerator on the process, however, since that actual due date was a state secret, well, then there could be days yet to go. But it does put the book on a boy higher, not to say the over/under.
I'm hoping for Emily Diana Elizabeth Grace for a girl and Andrew Philip Charles Henry for a boy.
So what's your best guess
1. Pitocin
2. Castor Oil Cocktail
3. Cesarean Section
4. The Old Way
What's a "spare"?
