I want 2 beers and a packet of potato chips please

I found it,it wasn't so great.

To be honest, I don't know.  Even though I have pretty much already found what I was looking for.  I'd like to have been better at it would have been nice.

other people who know the stuff I know.  Not just common era or common music but like the knowledge that close, clubby groups of people - like your old gang, remember them?.  They say you don't find new friends like the old but in this day of widespread communication, I think it's just a matter of people fearing saying what they really think or know (and who can blame them?).  Remember communes?  I don't want to join one; they weren't all they were cracked up to be either.  But that's the kind of knowing and agreeing that I'm talking about.

Yeah, Community would be nice - accepting, supportive, funny, fun artistic. People who care about the world and have some idealism left.

I think I would like to have my old gang of friends to hang with also. People who were fun, didn't take things so seriously and could argue about stuff without getting mad. We had a place sort of like Cheers except better, drinks and good food and you could dance. I want a place like that to go to again where everyone knows you.

And when someone opens a place like that, I hope they advertise it well so we can show up - at least to try.  Maybe everyone everywhere should put a lengthy personal ad in their local newspaper stating fearlessly what they're looking for.  Chaos may ensue, but it might keep the papers in business for another year.

So... start packing.  Do it girl!

Have a good un!

I just googled the question Is The Alamo a Federal Monument?  This is what came up- http://www.doi.gov/index.cfm

It's closed, but all is not lost.  San Antonio's River Walk boasts some of the finest restaurants for food and ambiance.  It's the most romantic place I know.  And it ain't closed.
