oh before I forget to ask again. Tee will you bring pictures of your grandson so I can see how much he has grown ?

I can do that.  :-)

I (mostly) agree with you, Rose that friendship is not something physical but rather an emotional bond.  Still be nice though, to have someone physically present to put an arm around your shoulder in the hospital waiting room while a loved one undergoes life & death surgery or actually be there having lunch together, etc.  Heck, even just looking at it from a practical standpoint, it's nice to have someone who could drive you somewhere if you weren't able to drive yourself.  Oh, well; they say a lot of people are in the same boat these days.

I can relate....all my best friends are scattered to the winds.....Illinois, Florida, Tennessee.  I only have one here in VA, and she is my newest friend.  She doesn't drive anymore, though, so right now I am the one taking her places.  And I helped her get through breast cancer two years ago.  She only has one son, and he's still in the Corps, and never around.  It's all good.  If I need her to help me with something, I am sure she would give it her best.

I have scattered real friends too Karin: Cape Cod, Hackensack, and Dallas.  We try to get together every year or two if possible.
