palmar aspect strikes
lurid red print on my cheek
a flash of anger
reaching out for you
our fingers almost touching
wrenched apart by fate
watching life go by
the body rails at stillness
the soul waits, serene
the two human halves
the mortal and immortal
constantly at war
better the sharp pain
rending flesh and breaking bones
than the soul's dark night
no price is too high
for a second of your love...
union transmutes pain
we vowed forever...
how can eternity end
one tuesday evening?
chapters come to ends
creating an emptiness
pain dampens the void
struggling to go on
each day as bleak as the last
the laughter is gone
your light warmed my life
i believed in miracles
and sheltered in love
now your light's gone out
cruel things lurk in the shadows...
i hope they find me
