Hope y'all have been having fun. I've been missing for two weeks, because my laptop had to be rebuilt. I have it back and I'm thrilled to be back here. My phone couldn't get on this site. What have you all been up to?

Nothing much except dealing with a slow, sloppy mason who is repairing the brick work on my front steps and around my garden. He's been working on it since Saturday!

Well he's been amongst the missing since yesterday and haven't seen hide nor hair of him today. Just out of curiosity, I mixed up some of that cement and tried my hand at filling some of those cracks. It didn't come out too bad, but I stopped when I reminded myself that I was paying someone else to do this! I did find out that it's not that difficult.

I would say maybe it's the weather, but contractors have a knack for getting lost for no apparent reason. I spent 25 years employing them to rehab houses. Oh that was fun!

Steve, sometimes even that doesn't help. They are a strange breed. I used to employ contractors with my real estate work with loads of repeat business and every so often they'd screw up a job and I'd have to let them go.
