We all need food and drink to survive. Especially good water. some of us eat or drink too much or too little of the good healthy things at times but we pay for it later.  I was lucky to be poor eating a lot of veggies and fruits when I was a child. i still am partial to those basic foods, disliking gravy much because Ma was a poor cook...but I do love my black coffee and occasional Yukon Jack on the rocks.

I would try this once but I prefer dark chocolate with a dash of cinnamon.

What a nice memory story that was...thank you.

You also made me hungry for the ham and red-eye gravy, it is good good stuff

last time I made it was 3-4 months ago

I am a very good cook today thanks to the influence of my mother,  For my birthday she would cook me roasted prime ribs of beef, a twice baked potato and creamed corn.  There were always biscuits for breakfast and frequently country gravy.  I make the biscuits and gravy for my family down here.

Larry how do they like the taste of biscuits and gravy?

Julia, they just go crazy about biscuits and gravy...there never are leftovers.  Also, they are all over me to make pancakes and french toast.  They don't, however, care much for waffles.  A Denver omelette will make them howl.

Oh yeah, they save leftover pancakes for lunch and make sandwiches out of them.

left over pancakes are yummy

you are a good cook Scott

There was a time in my life when I was single and had three small children to feed.  It is very difficult to please fussy kids.  I had to improve my cooking skills considerably.

fresh foods are the best with no additives

In my country we keep our slim builds with a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables.  I have come to rely on broccoli and cauliflower.  Also green beans (prepared properly).  I cook everything "al dente" and use various sauces to liven them up.

I have eaten entire meals of "rabbit food"  I have also a 34 inch waist and I don't even try to adjust it by eating.  I eat exactly what I want.

good for you and your family

I eat a lot of raw veggies and fruit

it's good for your body all around

now this "little girl" is going to go to sleep

Goodnight to all

and we are all here

no matter what the doom people said
