TBD on Ning

just thought i'd post this .. we all have somethin that we're goin thru from time to time and its just nice to know that there are others who are goin thru the same thing or somethin similar enough that they understand .. and you can talk about it here and they'll get it .. in another post cresty said she had that sad thing .. seasonal --- i dunno what the a stands for but i think the d stands for disorder .. and i had it all my life .. never quite knew what the hell it was .. i always thought it was because everything around me was dyin and somehow i was mourning all that death around me .. but now they say its the light .. who knew ?? but man it would get me down sometimes .. so i moved to florida and its pretty much gone .. but the thing about florida tho is i don't see all the trees dyin and stuff like that .. i don't have to mow the lawn as much and thats always a good thing .. but it don't really turn brown . it just really slows down cause we don't get that torrential rain every day like we do in the summer .. so if its the light or just the leaves fallin off the trees ?? i'm not sure .. maybe a bit of each .. all i know is its not the season that will depress me now .. but for any of you out there who have somethin you're goin thru there just might be someone else who's goin thru it too .. hence this simple song ..( i never miss an opportunity to post a song that will fit a situation )

and just because i'm in that song to fit a situation kinda mood .. here's another song .. just look at the album cover to this .. it looks so bleak ..but you still can't look away .. it almost looks like some kinda dracula movie set in transylvania or somethin ..  and yet they made some of the best music you'll ever hear ..

and they ended the album with some old woman readin poetry .. no music .. just her readin this poem in a very heavy british accent about thoughts on a grey day .. i can't tell you all the times i was on somethin and this poem would come on after all this great mind blowin music and at first you resist .. but over the years i've come to accept it as part of the complete work .. in an odd sort of way it sums it all up .. after songs like when we are dust and the sunny side of heaven it fits ..

oh what the hell we've come this far might as well post this song too .. we're on the train now ..another song from the same album .. dust .. when i die i want them to play this one at my memorial . this one and spirit in the sky .. and .. the sunny side of heaven ..

When the white flame in us is gone
And we that lost the world's delight
Stiffen in darkness.
Left alone
To crumble in our separate night
When your swift hair is quiet in death
And through the lips corruption thrust to still the labor of my breath

When we are dust, when we are dust
When we are dust, when we are dust

When your swift hair is quiet in death
And through the lips corruption thrust to still the labor of my breath

When we are dust, when we are dust
When we are dust, when we are dust

When the white flame in us is gone
And we that lost the world's delight
Stiffen in darkness
Left alone
To crumble in our separate night
When your swift hair is quiet in death
And through the lips corruption thrust to still the labor of my breath

When we are dust, when we are dust
When we are dust, when we are dust

When I was a teenager, I used to spend a couple weeks every summer with my aunt and uncle. They were young and cool, (only 13 years older than me) and had TONS of albums for me to listen to my hearts content and I distinctly remember THIS being one of them!!

this is one of the best albums ever made kim .. you have good taste ..

ok i'll quit for now with this one .. the sunny side of heaven .. probably the most beautiful instrumental for guitar i've ever heard .. and the same guy from fleetwood mac wrote this and dust .. first you die and you've lost all the light of life  .. and then you go to heaven .. but where in heaven ?? the sunny side of heaven .. kinda gives you some hope don't it ??

I absolutely love this.  I guess I've got another CD I'm gonna have to buy ...   I loved You are Not Alone as well...  Thanks, Frenchy.

Wow!  I never heard the poem before.  And I never heard this album. Where was I?

LOVE this SONG but i dont believe I ever heard it before now!! Yeah, you're so right about what you said. Some people may be going thru something that someone else can identify with but so often times people DO think they are alone and the only one who has the problem. But the truth is...EVERYTHING that someone has done or felt has pretty much been done or felt before. There's really NOTHING in the world that is absolutely and positively unique. If you heard of something for the first time...wait..you will hear more of the same thing. BRINGING us back to a wonderful point you made...."YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!"

I love the way you paint and entire picture or write and entire screenplay with songs, Frenchy. Wish I knew how to post one of tho glitter graphics.  I would post a heart with angels wings to symbolize your gentle spirit!

no glitter needed cresty .. i'm just glad you got it .. and the poem by the old woman is on the album .i never heard it before then either .. came as quite a shock the first time i heard it too..after all that music and then that poem outta the blue like that .. we're all lookin around the room askin each other do you hear that too ?? or is it just me ?? is that still the same album ?/ what the hell is that ?? and yeah i'm not surprised you never heard this album .. it seems that fleetwood mac had this guitar player named peter green .. and he was the guy who took eric claptons place in john mayals blues breakers in about 1967 or so .. right around the time they were writin on the walls everywhere clapton is god .. till they heard peter green .. then you started seein peter green is better than god scrawled above it everywhere.. and he formed fleetwood mac with mick fleetwood and john mcvie who are the only remaining members of that band .. seems peter green went out one night with some guys he met at a gig and they dropped some acid and went on a trip .. and peter was never the same again ..he quit the band to become a grave digger .. so everyone thought the band was doomed .. and it thrust danny kirwin to the front of the band and in my opinion as good as peter green was and as good as eric clapton was i think danny kirwan was just as good if not better .. but he also had some mental problems and alcohol only made him worse .. but he made three  great albums as their frontman and this was his last one .. another one of rocks great tragedies .. the whole band actually .. they had another guitar player named jeremy spencer and he just off and left the band after they landed in los angeles and said i'm gettin some really bad vibes and went off with the children of god and never came back .. its like join fleetwood mac , play guitar , lose your mind ..so it was kinda hard to follow or even promote the band because the personel kept changin all the time .. and for a small time they had another band that thie manager commisioned to go out on the road as them which they had to get a court injuction to make them stop .. so if anyone saw that fake fleetwood mac they had to come away serverely dissappointed .. and then they got lyndsey buckinham and stevie nicks and the rest is history ..

and while this next song wasn't really on the train when we pulled out of the station .. its still a great song by them so .. why not .. child of mine .. this one had a real personal connection to me because my son was just born and i made a pact with myself that no matter what happened between me and his mom i'd never walk out of his life like my dad did to me .. and those are actually the words .. so imagine doin a bong and then you hear this ?? it just makes you go .. whoa ??? is he talkin to me or what ..

Little child of mine
You'll be lovin' like your little Mother did
Heard it somewhere before
I won't leave you no not like my Father did

Heavy country blues keep a rockin'
K-k-k-keep that soulbeat a-sockin'
Heavy country blues keep a rockin'
K-k-k-keep that soulbeat a-sockin'

I miss you again
I let the sunlight through my eyes
I won't cry
I miss you again
I let the sunlight through my eyes
I won't cry
Little child of mine
You'll be lovin' like your little Mother did
Heard it somewhere before,
I won't leave you, no not like my Father did
Heavy country blues keep a rockin'
K-k-k-keep that soulbeat a-sockin'
Heavy country blues keep a rockin'
K-k-k-keep that soulbeat a-sockin'

I miss you again
I let the sunlight through my eyes
I won't cry

I miss you again
I let the sunlight through my eyes
I won't cry

I miss you again
I let the sunlight through my eyes
I won't cry

I miss you again
I let the sunlight through my eyes
I won't cry
