What makes you really really angry...

...so angry that you feel it in the pit of your stomach?

Two things do it for me:  First:  People wasting their lives to drugs is one.  I want to take their heads and put them through the wall. I Have a family full.  It really is something in the genes.

 

Second, the war in Iraq.  Ten years later and I still can't even think about it without going berserk--how Bush/Cheney led us exactly where they wanted us to go, how they lied about what was going on , how they ignored the inspectors, how they completely changed the purpose of the war because they didn't want to look stupid when they didn't find WMD, and how they thought they could get away with it because they thought the American people were stupid.  AAGGHH!!!!

Crest: Your question made everyone so angry they can't talk, or they are prioritizing their lists. ;-) In my state politics has so polarized and angered people that families have split up the last  2 1/2 years and our biennial budget is up for a vote an it includes making Kringle our state pastry. We already have a state muffin, state dance, and state dirt. Meanwhile the state drops in job creation from number 11 to 49.

Did you ever notice that Bush and Cheney do not do international travel. I guess they are afraid they will be arrested for war crimes. And they do not do much domestic travel either. Guess too many Americans now own guns. Suppose Homeland Security will be knocking on my door by morning. But if they are copying this, let it be known I don't like to get up before 7AM unless it is sunny and pleasant out.

Not TOO much makes me truly angry but I think a recurring thing that bothers me is the stupidity of parents with their little children and I think WHY did you have those kids if you dont use your head and your commons sense to raise them?! EVERY summer and I DOUBT this summer will be any different, I hear or read about a child who was left in a hot car to die or to be sent to the hospital.  There was the 2 women who went into a bar for "just one drink", leaving their babies in the car to sleep then they met up with friends and "forgot". Then the women who left her baby in the car to pick up her welfare check, and the one who didnt want to take their little ones in the grocery store, etc. Its just terrible!! There was a local story when I lived in Chattanooga, Tennessee that was tragic in a different way. The dad was taking 4 children to school because i think the mom was sick or something. He wasnt used to doing it and he was running late for a meeting. SO he dropped the kids off hurriedly and went off to work. It was "TOO LATE" several hours later when he realized he had "forgotten" to drop the baby off at day care. Baby was dead. It wasnt intentional neglect on his part but him and his family have to live with that the rest of their lives.

well like you cresty i was pretty mad about iraq too ..still am and a lot of that is the way the media presented it .. so i guess my next beef is with the media .. down here in florida startin next week the zimmerman trial starts .. and its not that i don't think there should be some kinda trial .. i always think when somethin like that happens there should be a day in court .. but .. and here's the really really really big butt .. have the trial based on the truth and nothin but the truth .. i remember when eons was still up and runnin and the whole case started and i put up a post askin what do we know about zimmerman and treyvon .. and all the info about zimmerman came hard and fast ( and a lot of it was wrong ) and hardly none came about treyvon .. and i kept askin what do you know about treyvon ?? and everyone bought into the media's picture of a little 12 year old kid who got shot walkin while black .. and thats not true .. don't get me wrong .. i don't think zimmerman is an angel but then none of us are .. and the more i see treyvons mom doin all these tv shows cryin her eyes out and sayin what an angel her kid was and the media buyin it all it really pisses me off .. she keeps cryin about how they're gonna try to assisnate her sons character every time somethin negative comes out about her son .. on the one hand she wants us to believe he was an honor roll student yet she sealed his school records.. oh man i could go on and on over this and i'll put up a post of all the things most people don't know or have been led to believe that are untrue .. but the media is a strong influence .. i know .. i think that post went to about 400 replies and most everybody bought the media version hook line and sinker .. yeah i get really pissed too cresty ..

That is in my state's budget proposal also: to force women to summit to an ultrasound prior to any abortion.  For a couple of years we had a provision that if a school did teach sex education it had to include medically accurate scientific biological information and contraceptive information. As soon as the Tea Party influenced politicians took over they repealed that provision.  They claim they are opposed to big government intrusions into people's personal lives but when it comes to women's reproductive issues they are the biggest champions of big government force.

you're probably right kathy .. some people won't be happy either way no matter what .. i think you're right about that .. but i don't think they should try to hamstring the defense by not allowin anything about treyvons character into the trial .. there were two people there that night not countin the one eye witness and your character speaks volumes about who and what you are .. i know every case is different and circumstantial evidence is hard to prove but it shouldn't be thrown out completely .. allow the defense to bring their case .. unseal the school records .. reopen the twitter and facebook accounts.. on both zimmerman and treyvon .. let the jury see both parties lives as they were up to the incident that night . to say it has no bearing is wrong .. and as soon as the black panthers put out a wanted dead or alive reward for anyone who testifies against treyvon throw them in jail immediatly ..

I agree with you, the one thing I have learned about our justice system is that it is never about truth, it's about what is allowed to be spoken and who knows who with the lawyers and judges.

I don't think our system is really fair at all sorry to say.

 Anger doesn't really describe the way I feel about anything. I feel a lot of disgust with our politcs, media, most of our social institutions. We are being held hostage by Tea Party, Talibanesque,neoconservative Facists...yes I know, my terms describe the a lot of the same ideas. Blame the women, blame the liberals, blame the hispanics, the blacks, the poor. And the solution is to keep everybody angry which is about fear...us against whoever the flavor of the week is.

Corporations are pretty much in charge...we have developed a type of almost willfull ignorance.

I was reading an article from Bill Moyers and Company about the blame game now with teachers...it's their fault little Johnnie isn't performing...when every bit of research tells us it's about poverty...it's pervasive. And the way to fix that is to give the money back to the middle class.

I am still tilting at windmills...never too old to vote and politic and educate and learn.

I hated when that BS was going on and congress voted with the Bush/Cheney lies. That stuff will rile me up it also sickened me when so many young people lost their lives in a war that was started based on those lies. It made me sick that we weren't going after the real culprit. What would have made me really really angry crest would have been if a family member had been killed in that war. I think I would have taken some action against the bastards who started it.

I seldom get to the point of that kind of anger but believe me I won't care about consequences. I'm like a momma bear I would tear off the head of someone who hurt my cub. Now that I'm older the consequences would mean even less to me as long as I got the person who created the mess.

If my child were killed in a shooting at a school for instance, someone would pay the price. I guess I'm lucky that I have no grandchildren.

I hate rude drivers.....grocery bags that rip and spill your stuff all over the sidewalk.....humidity.....people who abuse children or animals....bad hair days.....politicians.......the media......liars (see "politician" and "media"). 

I hate, also, people who judge other people without really knowing who they are and what they stand for.  They say they don't believe the media....yet they buy into every negative word they say about people without question.   

I am going to respectfully disagree with you, French.  Purely from a legal standpoint....Trayvon Martin's past history doesn't play a part here.  Mr. Zimmerman didn't have any of that knowledge that night when he got into the altercation with the boy.  His actions were based on his fears and suspicions At That Moment.....without any preconceived opinion of who or what this boy was.  At that moment....he felt threatened.  Not by who the boy was, but by what he was doing.  (so he has stated)       Years ago, my best friend's daughter was forced into a car at gunpoint, driven to a motel, viciously beaten and raped, and then dumped along a railroad track in the snow.  They caught the guy who did it.  In court, the defendant's lawyer tried to state that, because when they had the girl (15 years old) at the hospital, checking her out....they found a pot pipe in her jacket pocket,  her character was questionable, and inferred that, because she smoked pot, she "deserved" whatever she got.  This is similar to Mr. Zimmerman's case.  They have to stick to the events surrounding the death of the Martin boy.....and only those events.  They can call in character witnesses to try to prove Mr. Zimmerman isn't the type to go around shooting people indiscriminately, in order to aid in his defense, but they cannot assassinate the victim's character to in any way make it appear that he "deserved what he got".  You are right about one thing, though; no matter how it ends up.....it will get ugly.

well thats what the media would want you to believe karin .. but there are a lot of things that you don't know about treyvon and i think they do play a part .. you are correct that zimmerman didn't know anything about treyvon that night .. but what he did say to the 911 dispatcher was he looks like he's high or somethin .. i don't know what his deal is .. now if you're on neighborhood watch thats what you're supposed to look for . someone who's just meanderin around with no sense of purpose .. and when you see it to call it in which is what he did . now between you and me i never thought that smokin weed would make you wanna fight in fact i'd say it had the exact opposite effect .. but the weed i smoked back in the early 70's is different than what they smoke now .. this new stuff is sooo much stronger and new studies say it can make you aggitated and violent .. and the toxicology report that came out confirmed treyvon had weed in his system .. and the autopsy confirmed treyvon had bruised knuckles .. zimmerman did not .. he had a broken nose and lacerations on the back of his head.. so unless zimmerman attacked treyvon with his face he was not the aggressor that night ..the one eyewitness they have confirmed zimmermans story that treyvon was on top of him and beatin the snot outta him .. in fact the guy said treyvon was beatin zimmerman mma style .. which means mixed martial arts like you see on them ufc or ultimate fighting championships fights that are so popular nowadays .. he told treyvon to stop but treyvon went right on so the guy went inside to call the police .. and while he was on the phone you hear the screamin and the shots .. treyvon was not on the bottom when he was shot .. he was on top of zimmerman .. when tracy martin was played the 911 call and asked if that was his son he said no .. thats not my sons voice .. i'm not sure when he reversed that conclusion, if it was after he talked to their lawyer crump or not  .. or if he just deduced himself that if thats not my sons voice cryin for help then he had to be the aggressor which would mean zimmerman shot treyvon in self defense .. so in light of all this do you think its pertinent to know if treyvon was the type of kid who was into fightin ?? or if he really was an honor roll student like his family has been tryin to proclaim?? and this is where the media really pissed me off .. they tried to make it white black thing and it wasn't that at all .. they tried to paint zimerman as this yahoo cowboy gun totin shoot first zealot and thats not true either .. they always showed treyvon as this little angelic chior boy of 12 years old  when he was actually 17 and accordin to his family about 6'3'' .. but they don't want you to see any of the recent pictures of him makin the gang signs so the media never used a recent pic of treyvon .. they used that little kid to make you think zimmerman shot a little kid and he did not .. and there is a lot more to this .. but i'll stop here for now ..
