It snowed last Sunday and hasn't been above freezing yet.  At the house it is 16 and here at work 23.  Tomorrow night it is going to 8.  Well now that I have given ya'll my weather update (I lead such a boring life..) what's up in your neck of the woods?

We've had two nights where it got below the freeze mark, it still gets into the 60's during the day but it is not normal for us to be that cold. I got a down comforter out for this week. Hope it gets back to our normal winter temps soon which means 30's to 40's at night and 70's during the day. We're supposed to get rain tomorrow...just in time for our local holiday parade. Timing is bad for that.

it's wet and c-c-cold

This time of year I feel sorry for the homeless even more. We have already had a couple of them die from the cold.  Even though a lot of shelters are open some won't use them.  The police are driving the paddy wagons around trying to get them in them where it is warm.

-4F at the moment and the main state news is that the governor has fired some aide that made some racist tweets a couple of year's back and now sent out a fundraiser letter urging people to send their Christmas present money to his fundraising campaign instead of buying presents for the family. Despite the Gulag like cold it is bright and sunny and I am cooking up some potatoes and some venison stew to put on them for dinner (or lunch as they call it in more upscale circles). How do you all feel about adding Barley (medium pearled) to the stew?

That sounds yummy!!!  I have a freezer full of venison.  That all I eat unless I eat out.  Did buy a ham for Thanksgiving.

I heard about those cases.  Sad.  Yesterday a house (mansion) on fox island burned to the ground.  Wife and two kids got out, husband ( a doctor) and 8 year old perished.

Got up to 76 today . Low last night got down to 65 . Cool down this weekend with cold rain . May get a littltt ice Sunday ...

84 here today .. probably be about the same tomorrow .. i have to admit tho thats not normal for this time of the year .. its usually more like 78 or so .. so we're about 6 degrees above normal ..

Off to a crisp start again this Saturday morn with -9 and a little wind for a wind chill of maybe 15 below.  Snow is solid but only about 6-7 inches with about 4 inches more supposed to fall tomorrow.  Will feed the birds, bring in a little firewood, maybe a drive around the block, relist some ebay stuff, ignore some school work, etc.  Cheers.

Promises to be another beautiful day weather wise...mid 60's in the morning and mid 80's for the high.
Was away from home most of the day..couple of appts...out to dinner last evening with some friends from school. Today it's around the house chores...whooppe!
