I could not eat the turkey yesterday.  My husband put a piece in my dish to try to force me, and I tasted it, and it was delicious, but the thought of all those turkeys all killed at the same time and what  that might actually look like for one meal suddenly hit me, and I could not stomach it.

WTH?

I do hate it for the birds and the way they slaughter them . But even that won't stop me from my turkey fix . I would suppose all meat animals are killed in In Humain ways ..

There is a farm nearby. They have "turkey day" the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Apparently it is pretty gross. My brother in law brought his kids one year( why my sister allowed this, I'll never know!) my niece became a vegetarian for quite some time, still won't eat turkey... When you stop and think about turning animals into food, it is rather disgusting. We grew up eating venison from the "Bambi's " my father got during hunting week, one of the heads still graces my mother's living room wall.
But being carnivores, we do have to have meat from time to time, I just don't think of where it came from.
Pat what ya have in your oven your grandson was looking at on fb ...
What happened to ta turkey ya cooked . Sure hope it didn't go to waste ...
Had my cousin stop by the local grocery and see how much the Turkey breast were . I had him to get me 3 a little over 6dollars each . One to thaw out and two for later on around Christmas ..
The sickest I ever got was eating the dressing cooked in the turkey . If I eat any it has to be cooked in separate pan ...
